My work colleagues, friends and family believe I partake in a tedious routine but in my opinion it’s the best way to maintain my health.
Morning & Afternoon routine
I wake up at 6 am every morning and drink a couple of glasses of warm water with half a squeezed lemon. After warming up I do some exercises like lunges, planks and pushups. After finishing my exercises I practice Yoga from which my favorite are Kapalbhati and Anulom Vilom. Yoga is a really effective way to detoxify your body, maintain normal blood pressure and relief stress. Then I get ready for work and go downstairs to consume breakfast. I prefer to take breakfast before 8 AM because the stomach is empty to be filled with nutrients. My everyday breakfast consists of a berry smoothie and homemade protein balls. While I eat breakfast my wife prepares a healthy lunch for me, which consists of green vegetable salad and vegetable soup.
Before I go to work I drop off my daughter to school then drive to work before 9 am. I have never been late to work in my career history since it disrupts my ability to work efficiently. I strive to work hard every day and inspire my team with my hard work. I eat lunch between 12 pm and 1 pm every day. Then finish work at 5 pm and travel back home.
My family and me eat dinner together at the dining table at 6 pm. We enjoy watching our favorite movies and TV shows at home in the evening. The time spent with my family is valuable to me as it helps me to grow as a person. Finally I brush my teeth and go to bed between 10 and 10:30 pm to get energized for the following day. According to National Sleep Foundation sleeping time is different for each age group; for adults it is recommended 7 to 9 hours. I get 7 to 8 hours sleep, as that is sufficient for me to maintain my health and productivity.
