How to buy and include in your daily diet

The peak season of citrus fruits begins from December and goes to the end of March. In some countries they are available throughout the year.

When you buy grapefruit make sure it is ripe and ready to use, go for an organic one if available. You can store it at room temperature but away from direct sunlight.

Excessive use of anything has an adverse affect on health. It is a good idea to eat a diet with a variety rather than consuming one single food.

Its taste is bitter to sweet. You can eat it on its own or drink freshly squeezed juice in the morning or use them in fruit salads or even use its juice on salad dressing.

Here is one of my favorite weight loss juice recipes. In order to get maximum health benefits of this drink it is recommended to consume it on an empty stomach.

  • One medium sized grapefruit
  • Half a medium sized cucumber
  • Half an apple
  • A pinch of ground black pepper

Put the ingredients into juicer one by one apart from the ground black pepper. Extract the juice, then add ground black pepper in it and shake well before you consume.
